I accept a limited amount of custom orders each month (usually 2-3). Please limit requests to those based on my own previous designs. Please also be aware that each piece is unique and no two pieces will ever be identical.
All details for custom orders will be discussed and agreed upon between myself and the customer before I move ahead with creating an invoice for your piece(s). I require payment in full at the time of invoicing in order to begin any work on a custom order. Once payment is received, no further changes to the order will be permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
Please allow a 6-8 week production time on custom orders, beginning from the date I receive full payment of your invoice to the time of shipping your finished piece(s). Occasionally, a custom order will take longer due to sourcing a particular stone or additional custom materials. If this is the case, it will be communicated to you before the time of invoicing.
If you wish to place a rush on your custom order, I will do my best to work with you whenever I can! A rush fee will be incurred and due at the time of invoicing, with the cost being relative to the nature of the timeline requested.
I do my best to ship completed items within 3-5 business days. Please let me know if there is a rush on your order and I will do my best to get it out sooner. All items ship from Toronto, Canada.
I offer free basic shipping with orders over $200 USD. If you would like to upgrade your shipping speed or carrier, please let me know when you make your purchase and I will get you a shipping estimate. The customer will be responsible for any fees associated with upgraded shipping.
I cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please consider purchasing additional insurance for your package, which I do not include in my standard shipping option. Tracking is included in basic shipping to some countries but not all. Please let me know if you would like to pay for additional tracking for international packages.
Ignis Borealis jewelry is made with the utmost attention to quality and craftsmanship. If you care well for your jewelry, it can last for generations to come. However, no piece of jewelry is indestructible, even the most well made. Care and treatment of your jewelry will thus impact its lifespan.
Avoid wearing jewelry while sleeping, bathing, swimming or during strenuous physical activity, such as exercise or gardening. Do not expose your jewelry to perfumes, as they can affect the surface finish of your piece. Stones, silver, and other metals will darken and discolour over time. This is often called a patina or tarnish. Sunlight, oxygen, oils, sweat, and anything else that comes into contact with your jewelry can contribute to this natural aging.
Silver and soft stones (such as turquoise, variscite opals, etc.) can be easily scratched or even fractured if handled roughly. Please take care to protect your piece(s) when wearing and storing, and avoid dropping them on hard surfaces. It is best to store your jewelry in an airtight bag or container when it is not in use. This will slow the process of aging and protect your jewelry from inadvertent damage.
You may clean your jewelry with warm water and mild, clear soap using a soft toothbrush. Please do not ever use harsh jewelry cleaners or chemicals on your Ignis Borealis pieces, as these can damage soft stones and silver. Jewelry polishing cloths are great for removing tarnish and restoring the shine of your silver pieces. However, these are not meant to be used on pieces with darkened patinas as they will remove the surface finish.
Please purchase mindfully and ask all questions before committing. If you are unsure of your ring size, please find out before making a purchase. I do not offer refunds or exchanges--all sales are final.
I offer a guarantee on my workmanship. If you receive your piece and find any flaws, please contact me immediately. Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for issues reported to me after 72 hours of your package being delivered.
Please keep in mind that I create each piece by hand, and therefore there will always be some slight imperfections or variations. These add to the character and one-of-a-kind quality of your handmade piece.
I inspect each piece carefully before sending it out and I package your jewelry diligently to protect it during its journey. In the event of a piece that is damaged in transit (i.e. a cracked stone), it will be the responsibility of the customer to put in a claim with the shipping carrier. Please opt to purchase additional insurance with your shipping, as most basic shipping does not include insurance and will leave you with no recourse for shipping damages.
