Lori has formed trusting relationships with small independent international suppliers to ethically source unique gemstones, pearls and diamonds with a focus on character, individuality and quality. Occasionally, found items are used in our work including ancient coins and relics, as well as items found in
nature.

Pieces are handcrafted from 18k yellow gold, sterling .925 silver and fine .999 silver. By creating meaningful, slow-made pieces to last a lifetime, we aim to minimize our ecological impact and provide lasting value to our customers.

Our jewellery is made with the utmost attention to quality and craftsmanship with everyday wear in mind. If you care well for your piece, it can last for generations to come. However, no piece of jewellery is indestructible. Care and treatment will impact the lifespan and natural ageing of these handmade items. Natural gemstones can be delicate and must be treated with extra care, particularly for high touch
areas like rings.

Avoid wearing jewels while sleeping, bathing, swimming or during strenuous physical activity, such
as exercise or gardening. Do not expose your jewellery to perfumes or other chemicals, including household cleaners, as these can affect the surface finish of your piece. The same is true of natural body oils and sweat. Soft stones
such as opal and turquoise are particularly susceptible to changes over time, so it is best to take extra care with these more delicate pieces.

Gemstones and precious
metals may discolour over time. Some natural ageing is to be expected and tells the lived story of your piece. This may be referred to as patina or oxidisation. Sunlight, oxygen, oils, sweat, and anything else that comes into contact with your jewellery can contribute to this natural ageing. It is best to store your jewellery in a safe place like an airtight pouch or container when it is not being worn. This will slow the process of ageing and protect
your jewellery from inadvertent damage.

Metals and stones can be easily scratched or even fractured if handled roughly. Excessive heat or
sudden temperature changes can also fracture stones. Please take care to protect your pieces when wearing and storing, handle gently, and avoid dropping.

You may clean your jewellery in a small bowl with warm water and mild, natural soap using a soft
toothbrush. Please do not use chemical jewellery cleaners or ultrasonic equipment to clean your pieces, as these can damage precious metals and soft
stones or even loosen stones from their settings. Jewellery polishing cloths are great for removing tarnish and restoring the shine of silver. However, these are not meant to be used on pieces finished with a darkened patina as they will remove the surface finish.

Orders are shipped from Toronto, Canada using Canada Post. Complimentary shipping is
included on all orders over $200 USD, while shipping rates apply to orders under $200 USD. To upgrade your shipping to fully insured or overnight with an international carrier such as UPS, additional costs will apply.

All orders of readily available works ship from Toronto, Canada within 1–2 business days. Made to order pieces are subject to a 2–4 week production time.

All pieces are made by hand in our Toronto studio. Lori offers a guarantee on all workmanship. If you receive a piece that you believe to be defective please contact us immediately. Unfortunately, Lori cannot be responsible for issues
reported after 24 hours of your package being delivered.

Please keep in mind that each piece is created by hand in Lori’s studio and will always contain imperfections and variations. Lori celebrates these unique characteristics that tell the story of a piece and believes they add to the character and one-of-a-kind quality of handmade jewellery.

Lori inspects each piece carefully prior to packing and shipping. Orders are packaged diligently to protect the jewellery during its journey. In the event that a piece is damaged in transit it will be the responsibility of the customer to submit a claim with the shipping carrier. Please consider purchasing additional insurance by upgrading your shipping to a fully insured
option, as carriers will only cover damage costs in the amount of the insured value. Lori is not responsible for pieces damaged in transit.

Lori offers repairs on her own pieces on a case by case basis. Please contact us directly with the details of your repair request. We do not offer repairs on pieces that are not from our collection.
